Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts at Gauhati University :

1. Professor-Director, Institute of Science and Technology (IST), GU.
2. Associate Professor- Dy. Director, IST, GU.
3. Assistant Professor
4. Curator

Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay :

• Professor : PB-4 =Rs. 37,400-67,000 & AGP : Rs. 10,000/- .
• Associate Professor : PB–4 Rs. 37,400-67,000 & AGP : Rs. 9,000/
• Assistant Professor & Curator : PB-3 =Rs. 15,600-39,100 & AGP : Rs. 6,000/-
  For contractual post = Rs. 15,000/-(Consolidated) per month

Qualification and experience : As per latest UGC/AICTE norms with high quality research publication and as per requirement of the courses. (for details, please see GU website : www.gauhati.ac.in). Mere fulfillment of qualification will not entitle an applicant for inviting to the interview. In case of post nos. 1 & 2, administrative experience are desirable.

Application Fees & Last date : Candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as application fees for the post. Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14” latest by 24-12-2010. Those who are willing to apply for more than one post, they must submit separate application form with separate application fee. The name of the post and Department must be written on the envelope of the application.
